Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
BBA which stands for Bachelor of Business Administration is one of the most demanding field and first choice of most of the +2/ intermediate business graduates of Nepal. It is a four year bachelor program in business administration divided over 8 semesters with 120 credit hours. This course provides specialization on Banking and Finance, Industrial Management, Marketing Management, Travel and Tourism Management, Management Information System. The specialization subjects are chosen by students in seventh and eighth semester.
Objectives of BBA program of Tribhuvan University
Bachelor of Business Administration course of Tribhuvan University has following core objectives which are listed below:

- To familiarize students with real life business problems, make them capable of understanding and solving practical business problems.
- Prepare students for taking up mid level business management in different sector.
- To impart highly professional management education with the intermingling of information management and computer courses.
- To prepare and motivate students so that they can be able to do the best out of them in the post graduate level.
Admission Requirements in BBA
The candidates who are applying for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration program in Tribhuvan University should abide by the following procedures:
- Students should have completed +2/ equivalent level from any university/ board recognized by Tribhuvan University.
- Students should secure at least second division in their +2/ or equivalent level, and
- Should follow all the application procedures that should be done while sitting for entrance examination.
Admission Criteria:
Students should pass through different phases of test before getting admitted to Bachelor of Business Administration degree of Tribhuvan University:
1) Written Test:
The eligible candidates should appear in CMAT entrance test (Central Management Aptitude Test) conducted by Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University. The test follows the standards of international testing system. Verbal Skills, Analyzing Quantitative Techniques, Reasoning with Logic, and testing General Awareness are the four categories in CMAT test. There are 100 objective questions, 25 in each four sections and students should secure at least 40% to pass the exam and get qualified for interview.
2) Interview
Students who have got the minimum 40% marks will be called for interview and out of those students, few will be selected for admission as per merit list.
Entrance Preparation
To get admission in top Bachelor of Business Administration colleges of Tribhuvan University is very challenging and need effort and hard work. BBA aspirants should face CMAT entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University. Students can either join any entrance preparation classes or can prepare themselves at home by reading the CMAT entrance books available in the book stores. Students can participate in different mock test conducted by institutes for enhancing their capability and building confidence. Different model questions of CMAT entrance can be easily found in the internet. However, it will be quite easier to pass the test if students get enrolled in good entrance preparation institute. These institutes not only prepare you for CMAT test, they also provide trick to face interviews.
